My brother's Spaniel got skunked at my cottage 2 weeks ago. Needless to say, "PEEuuuu!!! .....We sure put in a miserable night with the stink." So the next morning we bathed him outside with this recipe. It is much cheaper and far less mess than the traditional ol' Tomato Juice. BONUS....This recipe is an awesome cleaner! This odor eliminator really works too!
Just thought I'd share this info in case someone else ever gets into the same situation! Skunk Odor EliminatorMix togeather in a large bowl or bucket: 1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (2 X 500 ml bottles) 1/4 cup Baking Soda 1 T. Liquid Dish Soap First wet your pet down with warm water. Apply this mixture onto the fur with a sponge and let soak in for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Shampoo again with regular shampoo, if you really want to be sure your pet smells good. ~~~OR~~~ Apply straight Vinegar to the fur, let soak for 10 - 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.
